M-TECH low-budget segment work lamps
The lighting market in recent years has been all about manufacturers focusing on the fastest growing technology - LED technology. Regardless of the field - automotive, heavy industry or entertainment in the broadest sense - lighting using LED technology is becoming increasingly common.
As a leader in automotive lighting, M-TECH does not intend to lag behind, constantly expanding its range. Following the introduction of the ever-popular WLO series of work lamps and lightbars and the BLACK series of work lamps and LED driving lights (LED Driving Lights), which have become a sales hit, it is now time to fill the gap in the "ECONO" segment. Users, for whom, due to the type of work carried out, the auxiliary lighting commonly referred to as working lights is often damaged, are looking for an inexpensive solution on the market which meets the relevant lighting requirements.
Firstly, heat dissipation, i.e. the heat sink...
The segment of work lighting colloquially known as ECONO is developing extremely rapidly, especially in recent times. More and more companies offering such solutions can be found on the market. However, as usual, the devil is in the details. The vast majority of lamps offered on the market are of low or very low quality. When choosing this type of lamp, the most important thing to pay attention to is the thickness of the housing, which acts as a heat sink and the material from which it is made. Low-quality lamps are characterized by a housing thickness of 20-25mm and often a housing made of metal-like material or plastic, which in no way protects it from overheating and burning out. This is due to the fact that this type of solution is not able to fully dissipate the heat generated during lamp operation. To begin with, M-TECH will offer 6 products from the WLE series meeting the above technical requirements. The WLE33, WLE34 and WLE36 are lamps with a classic and extremely popular round shape. The 45mm-thick housing made of a special aluminum alloy protects the lamp from overheating even in the harshest conditions. The other three models WLE43, WLE44 and WLE46 are products with a distinctive square shape and a 47mm-thick housing protecting the lamp from permanent damage even during hours of use.
Secondly, the light source...
ECONO type work lamps are products that have their faithful group of customers. Unfortunately, budgetary constraints mean that many manufacturers are trying to cut production costs wherever possible, above all with regard to the components used, including the LEDs responsible for the light output. It is possible to find lamps on the market which, at first glance, look the same not only in terms of appearance (housing), but also in terms of the LED chips used. There is another very important issue related to the light sources used, namely their power. Unfortunately, the fact that the LED used in two models looks the same means nothing, as very many manufacturers use versions of LEDs in their products, but with the lowest available wattage (LEDs that look the same can range from 0.2 - 1W, for example). This fact directly affects and translates into the amount of light that the lamp itself is able to emit. In many cases, a slightly more expensive lamp may turn out to be a much better solution due to the power of the LED chip used. The 1W SMD3030 diode (the number of diodes depends on the model) is responsible for the luminous flux in all newly introduced models of the WLE series offered by M-TECH. This, combined with the special design of the reflectors, allows maximum utilization of the diodes and a luminous flux of up to max. 2880 lumens (the maximum number of lumens depends on the model).
Thirdly design...
M-TECH, like other leaders in the automotive lighting market, understand that gone are the days when price was the most important selection criterion. Therefore, with the development of LED technology, the opportunity arose to also focus on the design of lamps in the ECONO segment. The increasingly interesting design, whether in terms of shape, additional elements such as a parking light or the type of reflector used, means that even low-budget segment work lamps can be eye-catching. The WLE33, WLE34, WLE36, WLE43, WLE44 and WLE46 lamps, which meet the above criteria and are being introduced by M-TECH, are the best examples of this.
In summary...
On the automotive lighting market, you can find work lamps in the Premium, Classic or ECONO segments. By introducing the WLE series, M-TECH is becoming one of the few companies on the automotive market which is able to offer products from each of the above segments. When choosing lamps for this segment, attention should be paid first and foremost to how the heat is dissipated (radiator), the key part of which is the housing. In this case, the thicker the better, as the thickness of the lamp (housing) has a direct impact on the protection against overheating and thus on the life of the product. The light source used, in the form of an LED, is also very important. The power is important in this case, as many manufacturers use low-power LEDs, e.g. 0.2W, which externally do not differ from LEDs with a power of e.g. 1W, as in the WLE series. Thanks to the use of various types of reflectors and, additionally, in the WLE36 and WLE46 models, the function of a parking light, we obtain a product which will meet the requirements of even the most demanding users.
