M-TECH introduces new LED sets with warmer light colours
M-TECH, as a leader in the automotive lighting industry, is constantly listening to market feedback and developing its product ranges. This time, new LSPROS GOLD (LSPROSGLD) LED sets in the two most popular H4 and H7 models are being added to the range. They are characterized by a warmer light colour (4000K) than that already available on the market, being an ideal replacement for classic halogen bulbs in terms of size and shape, as well as the colour of light emitted. They are intended primarily for motorists who appreciate the traditional look of a car and who, for various reasons, do not like the cold white light (6000-6500K).
Light source ...
As with the original LSPRO SMART series, the light source is the latest generation of the CSP3570 LED, with a characteristic colour temperature of 4000K, which replicates the light colour of a traditional incandescent bulb. Thanks to the wire-free, multi-point technology of current distribution in a single chip, as well as the integration of 8 chips on a single substrate, it was possible to achieve max 4800lm and 42W (set) for the H7 model and max 4300lm and 52W (set) for the H4 version. In addition, the design used results in a more homogeneous light, better coupling with headlamps and lenses, and the absence of spots and shadows appearing on the road and occurring with the use of many individual LED chips. An additional advantage of using products made with LED technology is that they do not emit UV radiation (they do not damage the headlight), guarantee lower energy consumption and a longer service life.
Cooling system ...
The LSPROS GOLD models use the well-known and extremely efficient and proven FrontAir cooling system. The most important thing that distinguishes this cooling system from other solutions available on the market is that it pushes air through the light shaft chamber, forcing air up to 20% onto the outer part of the LED and cooling the heated phosphor. This has a positive effect on the thermal stabilization of the LED chip, as well as forcing air circulation in the reflector chamber itself, and this has a direct effect on the life and therefore road safety. In addition, the cooling system itself supports the use of a copper pin, which further reduces the temperature on the LED itself.
Size...
As with the entire LSPRO SMART family of traditional automotive lighting conversion sets, the idea was to create a series of products that replicate traditional halogen bulbs as closely as possible in terms of size, so that installation is problem-free even in headlamps with very little space. In addition, the LED sets, which are a 1:1 reproduction of the classic incandescent bulb, increase the air space between the cooling system and the walls of the mounting chamber, which, contrary to appearances, improves heat exchange.
NTC sensor ...
With such small LED light sources as H7 bulbs, and the LSPRO SMART series in particular, it is important to add thermal coupling. Despite its extremely small size, the entire LSPROS series, including the GOLD, uses an element that is extremely important from the perspective of maintaining the right temperature level, the NTC sensor, which directly affects the life of the product itself. When the bulb heats up above 90°C, the NTC sensor informs the current control system of the high operating temperature, which in turn begins to reduce the LED retrofit current so as to maintain the temperature at the same level. This stabilizes both the temperature and, at the same time, the luminous flux. It also has a positive effect on achieving a low drop in luminous flux in the time domain.
In summary...
The newly designed LSPROS GOLD series of retrofits is M-TECH's answer to the voices coming from the market. It is probably the most technologically advanced solution for the conversion of traditional lighting to LEDs available on the market in the All-In-One segment (these are products that are 1:1 equivalent to traditional incandescent bulbs). The use of a state-of-the-art solution responsible for the luminous flux in the form of a dedicated CSP35700 LED chip with a characteristic 4000K colour imitating the light of a traditional halogen bulb, a FrontAir cooling system using a fan designed and manufactured specifically for the LSPROS project, an NTC sensor or a copper stem inside the bulb makes it difficult to find similarly advanced products in this segment on the market. All together, this solution provides more light with continuous operation and a low decrease in luminous flux per unit time (low drop). In addition, the extremely compact size corresponding to traditional incandescent lamps means that even in the inaccessible and small spaces that we have to deal with in many headlamps is not an obstacle for installation. It is worth mentioning that a car with LSPROS GOLD retrofits shines almost as if it had ordinary halogen bulbs fitted, but consumes much less current and does not damage the headlight (the LED does not emit UV radiation).
