M-TECH and the Fire Service: light that saves lives
Good lighting during rescue and firefighting operations is not a luxury, but a safety requirement. Staff Sergeant Roland Cuda, a professional firefighter with the State Fire Service in Gliwice, knows this very well. He has been working in fire protection for over 25 years, first as a volunteer and now as an experienced equipment operator in a rescue and firefighting unit.
His story shows how important technology is in the daily work of rescuers – and how important it can be to choose a partner who understands the real needs of the services.
From archaic lighting to modern solutions
In autumn 2019, while extinguishing a soot fire in a chimney, firefighters from JRG Knurów painfully realised that their existing work lamps no longer provided adequate visibility. ‘It was dark, it was raining, and our lamps were emitting a yellow, diffused light. I knew that for the safety of the team, we had to find a new solution,’ recalls the firefighter.
His search led him to M-TECH, then based in Gliwice. "I felt the difference right away. I wasn't talking to a salesperson who wanted to “push” something, but to people who really understood our needs. Together, we selected lamps that turned out to be a bull's-eye.

A partnership based on trust
The installation of M-TECH lamps went smoothly. The holes fit perfectly, no modifications were necessary, and the whole process took a few hours in the fire station – so that the vehicles could be ready to go at any time. The result? – Absolutely fantastic. For the first time, we had lighting that really supported our work instead of hindering it, he emphasises.
From that moment on, M-TECH became a partner to the unit, not just a supplier of equipment. "In this job, the conditions are dictated by the weather: rain, snow, smoke, mud. And these lamps always work. Good lighting is our safety, so I can say one thing – M-TECH is an ambassador for rescuers.
Tried and tested in action
After six years of intensive use, M-TECH lamps still work like new. They even survived extreme conditions during the firefighting operation at a historic tenement house in Czerwionka-Leszczyny, when roof tiles fell directly onto the mounted lamps. ‘There are only scratches on the casing, and the light shines just as brightly as on the first day,’ adds the firefighter.
Durability, resistance to mechanical damage and a consistently powerful light source are the features that rescuers value most.

Quality, not ‘just okay’
When asked how he would recommend M-TECH lamps to other units, he answers without hesitation: "Firefighters know what is important. It's quality, not mediocrity. M-TECH is definitely QUALITY.
Technologies that build advantage
The story of the Gliwice firefighters shows that innovation must go hand in hand with practical application. M-TECH proves that OEM quality, aftermarket flexibility and a partnership approach can go hand in hand – from car workshops, through distributors, to emergency services. That is why M-TECH lamps are more than just lighting. They are a tool that increases safety, confidence and efficiency in work where there is no room for compromise.
