LED Retrofits – one of the fastest-growing segments of the aftermarket
The automotive lighting aftermarket has been undergoing a clear transformation for several years, with LED retrofits emerging as one of its key growth drivers. LED replacements for traditional light sources-particularly popular halogen bulbs such as H7 and H4 - are currently recording triple-digit year-on-year sales growth. This trend has remained consistent for the past two to three years, and all indications suggest that the potential of this category will remain very strong in 2026 as well.

For workshops, the main challenge when installing modern LED lighting remains proper product selection - ensuring full compatibility with the headlamp, the vehicle’s electrical system, and CANBUS systems. Equally important are build quality, stability of lighting parameters, and effective thermal management, all of which have a direct impact on durability and operational safety.
The rapid development of LED technology and ongoing miniaturization have resulted in today’s retrofits offering significantly improved light quality, higher reliability, and increasingly competitive pricing compared to just a few years ago. When compared to 2022 or 2023, products currently available on the market are more refined, easier to install, and better aligned with the real-world needs of workshops.

M-TECH, as one of the leaders in the automotive lighting aftermarket, is consistently expanding its LED retrofit segment, drawing on proprietary technological solutions and experience gained across both domestic and European markets. As a result, LED retrofits are becoming not only a response to the growing expectations of end customers, but also a tangible growth tool for workshops seeking to offer modern, safe, and efficient lighting solutions.
